Administrative Staff

  • Mary Kay Shirley Mary Kay Shirley – Practice Administrator

I began my time with the Center for Pediatric Dentistry in June 2003 at the front desk, and have since become the practice administrator. I joined the dental field in 1988 after graduating from Augusta Technical Institute’s dental assisting program. I also attended Southern Wesleyan University for business management from 2001 to 2003.

I enjoy working with Dr. Baker and the staff to make CPD run as smoothly and efficiently as possible so our patients have a consistently great experience. I am always available to answer any questions from parents regarding appointments, accounts, or treatment needs.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my son, Jacob, attending church, reading, going to the beach and visiting with family and friends.

  • Angela Westenfeld Angela Westenfeld – Treatment Coordinator

After studying sociology at South Georgia College, my 23-year career has spanned general dentistry, orthodontics, and now pediatric dentistry. I am a certified orthodontic assistant, and have experience at chair-side as well as the front office.

I can honestly say that we have the best team here at the Center for Pediatric Dentistry. Everyone in our office cares about our patients and their quality of care. Our patients genuinely enjoy visits to our office, removing the potential stress of a visit with the dentist. We are all very proud of our workplace, Dr. Baker, and the service we provide to families in our area.

When I’m not at work, you can find me with my husband Terry and our two sons, Chaz and J.T., watching baseball and football, playing Wii, or cheering on the Florida Gators.

  • Louise Maxwell Louise Maxwell – Front Desk Coordinator

I was born and raised in Augusta, and received my B.A. in psychology from Augusta State University. Most of my adult career has been spent in retail sales. I have always enjoyed working with people, and working with Dr. Baker’s team since 2003 has been great. I feel blessed to work with such a wonderful group of people. Everyone at CPD enjoys their job and our patients can tell. Our goal is to help the kids enjoy the dentist and we succeed!

  • Joan Peredo Joane Peredo – Front Desk Coordinator

I’ve worked for Dr. Baker since 2007 and I love it!

This is my first time working in a pediatric dentist’s office, and I am very fortunate to work with such a wonderful and professional staff.

I have a BA in French with a minor in Spanish. Speaking Spanish has helped me out tremendously.

I enjoy spending time with my husband and two dogs, reading, singing karaoke, camping, dancing hula.

  • Kim Scott Kim Scott – Front Desk Coordinator

I was born into a military family in New York and later married a military man. This has afforded me the privilege to get to meet new people around the world. My husband’s military career has now brought our family to Georgia where I have met some of the sweetest people I have ever known.

Retiring from being a homeschool parent of three wonderful children, I rejoined the workforce with Dr. Baker’s office. I have been blessed to work with the greatest staff around. We are dedicated to making each visit pleasant and stress free for your children. Knowing how difficult it may be to find a good dentist from my travels, I can assure families that from the moment you enter our beautiful building you will feel that your children are well cared for by our staff.
